The school's gallant Under-17 Boys' Football team narrowly lost the FAI Leinster Schools Final to Balbriggan CC on a 2-1 scoreline, despite playing most of the game with just 10 men. Hard luck to the team and their manager, Mr Jenkins, but hearty congratulations to everyone, too, on a very successful year.

Last year, Megan O’Daly (6th Year) won the Leinster region of the Blackrock Education Centre’s 1916 poster contest, titled “What will Ireland look like in 2016?” The competition was held to mark the centenary of the Easter Rising of 1916. Her winning entry is now part of an exhibition at the National Gallery of Ireland on Merrion Square.

Supervised Study takes place from 9.00am to 1.00pm during the Easter Holidays (Mon-Thurs in Week 1; Tues-Fri in Week 2). Lunch is supplied at 11.00am.

On January 24th, a group of St Kilian's top sportsmen and sportswomen had a memorable time at a Sky Sports Academy Day at Ireland's new National Sports Campus, where they were mentored by a host of Ireland's sporting heroes.

Congratulations to Colin Keogh (Leaving Cert 2007) who has made the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Europe. Colin, who is a research engineer at UCD, was nominated for his work in the area of Science and Healthcare

Congratulations to the Under-17 Boys' Football Team and to their manager, Mr Jenkins, on winning the Wicklow-Wexford League Final on Friday, January 27th.
In the final, St Kilian's beat Coláiste An Átha, Kilmuckridge, on a 4-1 scoreline.

St Kilian's has been partnered with Amgen, Dún Laoghaire, through the Business in the Community programme. During the 2016-2017 school year, Mr Dunne's 5th Year Biology class will benefit greatly from a range of supports provided by Amgen personnel.
St Kilian's CS warmly welcomes this partnership and looks forward to working with Amgen in the years ahead.

Mr Dunne's 5th Year Biology class spent an amazing day in UCD's Medical and Veterinary schools on Tuesday, December 13th.The trip was hosted by past-pupil, Dr Daniel Crean, who works at the Conway Institute and Veterinary Science Centre, UCD.
