Re: Return to School of 6th Year Students
Dear Parents/Guardians of 6th Year Students,
As you know, the 6th Year students will return to the classroom from Monday next, March 1st. We are all looking forward to having them back in the building and we all hope that they will have a successful, enjoyable and uninterrupted run-in to the end of the school year.
There are new protocols around students returning to the classroom and these include filling out a Declaration regarding their health status. There are two forms, as follows:
I have also attached the Guide to State Examinations and Accredited Grades, published by the DES yesterday. I would advise that you familiarise yourself with its contents. Further details will be issued in the coming weeks and I will share these with you as they become available.
We are encouraging all of the students to opt for both the Accredited Grades and the Leaving Certificate examinations. This gives them two chances of achieving the best possible results to help them as they progress to college and careers. We will do our best to support them in making good decisions and in doing their best in the coming months, and I know that we have your full support in this.
If you require further information or clarification on any of the above, or in relation to any other matter concerning your son/daughter, do not hesitate to contact the school through this email address or by phoning the School Office (01-2828126).
Kind regards,
John Murphy,
Principal.
