Gold Medal for Daina!
Congratulations to Daina Moorehouse (Transition Year) who has won a gold medal at the European Youth Boxing Championships in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Italy. Daina dominated her Russian opponent, Kseniia Beschastnova, in the light-flyweight (48kg) division final, on Wednesday April 25th, and was awarded the win on a 4-1 majority decision.
Daina, who is the reigning European Junior Champion (2017), was a member of a 16-strong team of male and female boxers representing Ireland at the Championships. Along with Daina's gold, the team won a further three silver and two bronze medals.
Daina boxes with Enniskerry Boxing Club and was cheered on in Italy by her brother, Michael (6th Year) and parents, Melissa and John.
Everyone at St. Kilian's is immensely proud of Daina and her achievements and we all wish her continued success as she follows in Katie Taylor's footsteps towards world domination in her chosen sport!

Congratulations to those students who received such great Junior Certificate and LCA results today! Well done to the students themselves, and to their families, their teachers and all other school personnel who helped them over the line.
A special 'Well Done!' to the 6LCA class, eleven of whom, remarkably, received a Distinction grade for last year's work.
Best wishes to Kerri Keane, Megan Murphy, Luke Windsor, Mayking Chong and Aoife Murphy who, accompanied by their 6th Year Head Teacher, Mr Fitzpatrick, are in Lourdes this week as helpers on the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage.
A very warm 'Welcome Back' to all students and staff from what, we hope, was a very enjoyable summer break. A special welcome to our First Year students and to those students transferring from other local schools and from abroad. We hope that you will be very happy at St Kilian's.
Many thanks to all of the staff of the school, to the Parents' Association and to their student helpers who have worked so hard over the summer months.
Best wishes to everyone for an enjoyable and successful new school year!
Congratulations to our Leaving Cert and LCA students, and to their teachers and families, on the fine results received this week.
Best wishes to everyone in the months and years ahead.
