Very best wishes to our Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Junior Cycle students over the coming days and weeks! Thank you to your families, teachers and school staff who have prepared and supported you so well. Remember, we are here if you need us over the next while.
Do your best and look after one another!
A very successful Transition Year was brought to a close with the annual TY night for parents and guardians on May 31st. The student-led event gave a comprehensive overview of the wide range of events, activities and experiences enjoyed across the school year. There was also time for lots of awards and for the students' portfolios to be viewed by all the guests. All agreed that a lot of growing up and maturing had taken place and that the students were now well-prepared to achieve well at Senior Cycle.
The 6th Years had their night in the spotlight on the evening of Thursday, May 25th at the school's sports hall. This was the first school-based graduation night since 2019; alternative arrangements had to be made in the intervening years.
This year's graduating class had 'Up, Up and Away!' as their theme. It was a very special night of reminiscing and celebrating and wishing this fine group of young people the very best in their future lives. Everyone joined with their Year Head, Mr. Paul Connolly, in expressing great pride in the Class of 2023.
The weather gods smiled on the school on Wednesday, May 17th as we enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day. Thank you to all who organised and well done to the students for their enthusiastic participation.
Congratulations to Abbie Costello (6th Year) and Ryan Owens (3rd Year), who were the Senior and Junior Sports Stars, respectively.
The school is taking part in East Coast Radio's Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning, in aid of Cancer Support service and Wicklow Hospice.
All are welcome to drop into the school on Friday, April 21st from 9.00am until 1.00pm to support this worthy cause.
