Dear Parent/Guardian,
I am very saddened to have to share the sad news that Helen Browne passed away earlier this week. R.I.P.

As many of you will know, Helen has been a stalwart of our school community since its very early years. For over thirty years until last summer, on a completely voluntary basis, she ran the school’s Book Rental Scheme to the great benefit of generations of the school’s students and their families. Helen was a great supporter of everything to do with St. Kilian’s, and her love for and loyalty to the school was humbling. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with Helen's family; her husband,Martin, a former teacher at St. Kilian's, and her sons James, Peter, Wayne, Shane, Mikey and all of her family at this saddest of times. May Helen rest in peace.
At the time of her funeral on Monday, the school's senior students will be involved in guards of honour; the 5th Years will be at St. Fergal's Church, while the 4th and 6th Years will be at Springfield Cemetery. If your son/daughter is in Senior Cycle, please ensure that they are present and in full uniform on Monday.
Regards and many thanks,
John Murphy,
Principal.

There was also time for lots of awards and for the students' portfolios to be viewed by all the guests.
