A very warm 'Welcome Back' to all students and staff from what, we hope, was a very enjoyable summer break. A special welcome to our First Year students and to those students transferring from other local schools and from abroad. We hope that you will be very happy at St Kilian's.
Many thanks to all of the staff of the school, to the Parents' Association and to their student helpers who have worked so hard over the summer months.
Best wishes to everyone for an enjoyable and successful new school year!
Congratulations to the 6th Year Class of 2017 on their great results in the Leaving Certificate examinations!
Best wishes to all of the students in the years ahead, in their chosen college courses and careers. Students who need CAO or careers advice should contact the school.
Please return all outstanding books to the Book Rental Office in Room 33 immediately.
Many thanks to the Parents' Association and Mrs Helen Browne for their voluntary efforts in running the Scheme.
Students, Parents and Guardians, please read the attached important notice.
The school's inaugural Soundwaves music festival was held this week, May8th to 12th. The week's events were a showcase for the school's many talented students, as well as providing opportunities for masterclasses, recitals and collaborations with a host of local and national figures from across the music world. Many thanks to Ms Louise O'Sullivan for making this wonderful event such a tremendous success.
On Monday, May 8th, a group of fourteen senior students were audience guests on the Claire Byrne Live show on RTE1 television. It was a great experience of how live television programmes are put together. Thanks to Ms Tracey Brophy for all of her organising.
Bon Voyage to the group of fourteen St Kilian's CS students, accompanied by Mr Donohoe and Ms O'Shea, who will be visiting our twin school, Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium in Würzburg, Germany from April 21st until April 29th. This is the 32nd year of the exchange.
Seventy hardy TY souls spent an unforgettable few days at Killary Adventure Centre, County Galway in late March.
The school's gallant Under-17 Boys' Football team narrowly lost the FAI Leinster Schools Final to Balbriggan CC on a 2-1 scoreline, despite playing most of the game with just 10 men. Hard luck to the team and their manager, Mr Jenkins, but hearty congratulations to everyone, too, on a very successful year.
