Colin Keogh (Leaving Cert 2007)
Congratulations to Colin Keogh who has been named on the highly prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Europe (2017). Currently an engineering PhD candidate, Keogh has been recognised for his work in using low-cost disruptive technologies to help improve the world. He cofounded The Rapid Foundation to put technology such as 3D printers and low-cost electronics in the hands of people who need it most in developing countries.
St Kilian's CS is very proud of its association with Colin, who has maintained strong links with the school since he graduated in 2007. He is a regular and welcome visitor, giving talks and sharing his experience and expertise in the area of engineering with our students.
We wish Colin every success for the future, both in his studies and in his work with the Rapid Foundation.
The school's current and past Polish students and their families are invited to Wigilia at St Kilian's CS on Wednesday, December 13th at 6.00pm. Wigilia is the traditional Polish Christmas Eve celebration.

St Kilian's CS's continued partnership with Amgen has been confirmed for 2017-2018. The school looks forward to a continuation of the great benefits experienced by our students last year. These included specialised laboratory work, a careers event and a site visit to the Amgen Dún Laoghaire plant. The school greatly appreciates our links with Amgen, and the work of Business in the Community in establishing the partnership.
Congratulations to the 3rd Year Class of 2017 on achieving some of the best results seen at St Kilian's for many years. Many thanks to their teachers and families for their hard work and support in ensuring that this could happen.
Five 6th Year students are currently in Lourdes as helpers on the annual Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage. Best wishes to Georgia Browne, Amber Murray, Niamh Murray, Seán O'Dowd and Iuliane Ureche and their Year Head, Mrs Helen Dodd, who is accompanying them.
A very warm 'Welcome Back' to all students and staff from what, we hope, was a very enjoyable summer break. A special welcome to our First Year students and to those students transferring from other local schools and from abroad. We hope that you will be very happy at St Kilian's.
Many thanks to all of the staff of the school, to the Parents' Association and to their student helpers who have worked so hard over the summer months.
Best wishes to everyone for an enjoyable and successful new school year!
